Program Coordinator, Shannon Robinson

Picture

Shannon is very passionate when it comes to working with youth and young adults. After graduating from West Virginia State University in 2007, he worked at Charleston Job Corps as a Residential Advisor for 5 years. He then worked at WVSU as a Resident Director, and later transitioned into an Admissions Counselor role. In 2013 he started working for HRDF as the Mentor Coordinator for the 21st Century Afterschool Program at the East End Roosevelt Family Resource Center. He served as a role model, motivator, and even a father figure to some of the local youth in the program. He later became the Program Coordinator for the 2016 and 2017 NDWG Severe Storm clean up programs. Once the program ended, he became a Service Placement Specialist for the Career Pathways Program. He is currently the Program Coordinator for the Charleston YouthBuild program.

Clayton serves as the work site supervisor for Capitol YouthBuild at the Charleston HRDF office. As a supervisor with over 25 years experience in construction and automotive repair, he works with youth in the field as well as shop instruction. Clayton's goal is to make the participants familiar with tools and building, as well as repair concepts in both construction and automotive skills. He hopes that they leave with a better understanding in the construction and automotive fields and that they achieve a great work ethic. Clayton says, "hopefully helping them today will change their tomorrow."

For the past seven years, Tiffany Caldwell has worked at the West Virginia Human Rights Commission, investigating discrimination in employment, public accommodation, and housing across the state of West Virginia.  Tiffany graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Capella University.  She looks forward to one day continuing her education by obtaining her doctoral degree.  Tiffany spends all of her spare time with her ten-year-old twin boys Jo’ziah and Jeramiah.  Spending most of her days at the soccer field with the West Side Soccer Association teams, she enjoys bonding with not only the children but with the parents.  She has an extremely positive outlook on life and enjoys bringing that same joy and encouragement to others; therefore, you will rarely see her without her infectious smile.  She is a member of her children’s Parent Teacher Organization at Piedmont Elementary, and she thoroughly enjoys volunteering time to chaperone field trips and work different school activities.  Tiffany has a passion for helping all of the people within her community, especially youth!
