On November 19, 2002, HRDE was granted permission to occupy this 20-unit Section 202 apartment complex for the elderly located at 701 Garvin Avenue in Charleston. The cost of this site was 2.0 million dollars. Highview Unity Apartments was dedicated to Frank Veltri on October 8, 2002 during a formal ceremony and open house. Emergency alarms have been installed on all fire doors. An active Tenants Association sponsors monthly dinners, weekly bingo and worship service. Highview Unity shares the bus and enjoyed a trip to Amish Country this year.
