HUNTER RIDGE UNITY APARTMENTS I
On October, 16, 2002, HRDE acquired this 8-unit apartment complex through a loan agreement with the West Virginia Housing Development Fund. Located in Mt. Hope, West Virginia, this apartment complex contains four two-bedroom and four three-bedroom units, which receive rent subsidy. The cost of this site was $226,435.
The majority of apartments were renovated by the West Virginia Housing Development Fund prior to acquisition. In December 2003, The Bernard McDonough Foundation approved a $3,275.00 Grant for the purchase of playground equipment. The apartment complex has been consistent in maintaining near 100% occupancy.

Since acquisition, HRDE had to contract for extensive updates on water run-off and drainage issues; however, the overall project is in good repair. The apartment complex has been consistent in maintaining near 100% occupancy. The playground equipment donated by The Bernard McDonough Foundation will also benefit the children living at this site.

Hope, West Virginia, this apartment complex contains four two-bedroom and four three-bedroom units, which receive rent subsidy. The cost of this site was $264,756.
The exterior is attractive, with an ample amount of green space. The apartment complex houses approximately 30 children and all of the children will have access to the new playground equipment donated by The Bernard McDonough Foundation.
