Lincoln Unity Apartments, a 49-unit Section 202 apartment complex for the elderly, opened in November, 1993. The site contains a multi-purpose room with kitchen facilities for recreational and social events, an activity room on the second and third floors, and a coin-operated laundromat. There is also a beautiful lounge area on the first floor complete with a TV area, card-playing area, reading area and coffee counter. There are emergency alarms installed on all fire doors, security cameras located throughout the property, and automatic security doors for the convenience and safety of the tenants. The site was completed at a total cost of 2.1 million dollars.
The Tenants Association continues to be very active and has added a "Tenant of the Month" and Bingo to their activities. They have sponsored Tenant Appreciation Pizza dinners several times during the past year.
