In May, 1989, HRDE purchased Wellsburg Pleasant Apartments for $163,344. This 12-unit apartment complex is located adjacent to Wellsburg Unity Apartments. The project has undergone major renovations. The exterior of the building was given a facelift with vinyl siding and shutters. This work has garnered many compliments and expressions of gratitude from the surrounding neighborhood and the Town of Wellsburg. Although Wellsburg Pleasant Apartments is not a subsidized project, some units are occupied by HUD certificate holders.
