American Job Centers - One Stop Coordination
The One-Stop system is designed to enhance access to services and improve long-term employment outcomes for individuals seeking assistance.
Targeted adult, dislocated worker and customer population groups will include:
• All adults, ages 18 and older, are eligible for services. Priority for all other services must be given to recipients on public assistance and other low-income individuals if Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds are limited in the local region.
• Dislocated worker and displaced homemakers as per WIOA’s definition.
• Youth must be ages 16-24, and meet specific barriers to employment as determined by Region III WDB-KC. Customers qualifying as youth will be referred to the Region III WIOA Career Pathways Program or Region VI WIOA Youth Ready Program.
Additional opportunities the One-Stop Coordinators provide are monthly webinars that virtually showcase partner services or employment tips, and monthly newsletters containing a calendar of events from all partners. Creating a calendar of One-Stop activities and opportunities make efforts by each partner visible and accessible to HRDF staff, as well as, the community. The One-Stop Coordinators collaborate with all partners to encourage participation in highlighting services and events through this multi-media campaign.
