Severe Storm 2021 Grant

HRDF is the project operator for the National Dislocated Worker Grant - Severe Storm 2021. HRDF is hiring individuals interested in working outside cleaning up rivers and streams. We are currently hiring in these areas: Kanawha, Mason, Boone, Cabell, Lincoln, Logan, Mingo, Putnam, and Wayne Counties. HRDF participants will work directly with WV DOH.

Eligible applicants are those that meet the following guidelines:

1. Individuals who are temporarily or permanently laid off as a consequence of the disaster;
2. Other eligible dislocated workers as defined in WIOA Section 3(15),
3.  Long-termed unemployed workers, as defined by the state; and
4. Self-employed individuals who become unemployed or significantly underemployed as a result of the emergency or disaster. 

Participants receive OSHA and CPR/First Aid certifications.
